"Jesus loves me this I know"...
but does my mother's church love me enough to teach her
how to raise healthy kids?
Do you know the real Jesus? Are you sure? Do you know how He felt about breastfeeding, human nutrition, and wholeness? Read this page for a glimpse into a more merciful Jesus than you may have ever heard about in your entire life...and be of good cheer.

What did Jesus teach about breast feeding?
There are five references to breastfeeding in the New Testament...two in Matthew, one in Mark, and two in Luke. The most important link to the idea that breastfeeding is part of God's plan for healthy and happy babies is found in the gospel of Matthew, 21;16. Some were upset that Jesus was getting too much praise from children in the temple. They asked...didn't He know what they were saying?
Jesus reply was...
"Yes; have you never read 'Out of the mouths of infants and sucklings thou has perfected praise?"
The important word with respect to breastfeeding is "suckling". The Latin from the Latin Vulgate is LACTANTIUM or LACTENTIUM...a clear reference to milk. The Greek root word for the Latin translation is THELAZO meaning "to suckle". This is clearly not a general reference to babies or infants because the sentence already has a word for "infants" in it. The word "suckling" clearly refers not to any infant but to a NURSING infant.
The question then is...why would Jesus use a reference to NURSING infants as an example of "perfected praise"? Wouldn't a simple reference to babies or children in general be enough to make His point?
Any mother or father who has watched the behavior of infants who are nursing or who have just finished nursing from a healthy and happy mother should know the answer to the above question. A nursing infant looking up into a mother's eyes will often make sounds of PRAISE. A baby talks back. There is a holy communion between mother and baby.
Perhaps this is our world's clearest example of perfect love as well as perfect praise, and it doesn't stop there. After nursing from a healthy and happy mother a baby will throw its hands back over its head...the "healthy baby" position that babies usually sleep in...and the edges of its lips will curl upward in a noticable smile. It may not be a big smile, but it is a smile. It's one of the most beautiful things to watch on planet earth.
As Jesus explained, a man's words tell you what's in his heart. In the quote above Jesus is clarifying what He says in so many other places...that His heart is with children and babies and now also with nursing infants.
When Jesus said "Have your never heard" He was implying that those who were indignantly questioning the praises coming from the children should know better.
If the heart of Jesus was with nursing infants, where should our hearts be?
The question to ask doctors and mothers is clearly...
"Have your never heard"?
A word about mother’s milk…
DOCTORS...MOTHERS..."have you never heard" that Jesus showed the deepest respect for the nursing relationship? "Have you never heard" that there is a difference in the "mothers milk" of different species? Cow’s milk…human milk…goat milk…horse milk…dolphin milk…pig milk…it’s all white stuff. You could mix it up between species without consequences…right?
Well…it seems that cow milk has the perfect balance of minerals and amino acids that a calf needs to develop strong bones first and a small brain and nervous system later. The calf needs those legs to run. God knew exactly what a calf needs to escape from a wild dog.
On the other hand…human mother's milk has the perfect balance of minerals and amino and fatty acids that a human baby needs to develop a big brain and nervous system first and smaller bones later plus perfect support for a developing immune system. God knew that a child of His needed a whole brain and a whole mind first…the bones can come later.
God also planned for “bonding” of mother and child as physical needs are met in close proximity to a nearby heart beating with a mother’s love…a package deal! The blessings of this divine arrangement are so many they could fill a book…and they have.
Doctors...mothers...mothers to be..."have you never heard" how Jesus felt about breastfeeding? The next time you talk to a priest, pastor, deacon, or elder in a church, be sure to ask 'what did Jesus teach about breastfeeding'?
Please keep reading. God's mercy doesn't stop with mother's milk.
What did Jesus teach about nutrition in general?
It should be noted here that a nursing infant can only be as healthy as the mother from whom mother's milk comes. That is one of many reasons that a primary purpose of this website is to teach a "heal thyself" standard for adults, not babies. That God knows how to feed adult humans is a logical progression from the idea that God knows how to feed baby humans. The following then makes perfect sense.
“Take no thought what you shall eat …look at the birds of the air and the lilies of the field etc., your Father takes care of them. How much more you, O you of little faith”.
From the above you might think Jesus is saying “eat and drink any old thing” but that is not what He said.
All Jesus said is TRUST THE SYSTEM. Trust what God made. That’s a far cry from "trust a white flour hamburger bun". That's a far cry from "trust all the fake foods that someone took thought to make profits from at the expense of your health and wholeness". That's a far cry from "trust the (mad) scientists who want to genetically re-engineer the human food supply".
What Jesus said and is saying is that we don’t have to take thought because GOD OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN TOOK THOUGHT. He took thought “In the beginning” as the Bible says. He took thought to do things “very good”…to make the organic fruits, vegetables, whole grains, herbs, sunshine, clean air, life charged water, and all we need to live a long, healthy, and full life.
God even took thought to tell us that He took thought. God made it “very good” (Genesis). We mess it up or we respect it. We make this choice for ourselves and for each other. What's the wholeness of one life worth? A thousand lives? A million lives? A billion lives?
We won’t quote all parts of scripture that support the idea that God took thought and told us He took thought for our wholeness in creation. There are too many. If you want scriptural confirmation of God's love and mercy as it works in the human food supply start with Genesis…then God’s answer to Job…then Psalms 103 and 104…then the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew. Put it all together. Take a deep breath. Study a leaf. Study the wings of a dragonfly. Study the design of a bird, a fish, a flower. Study the stars. Connnect the dots.
We don’t need to sweat the details. God did that for us. We don’t need to know the names of the 50 or more nutritional factors in wheat bran and wheat germ that God intended to go with the white flour part in our daily bread. You can read about that in a book titled MASTERY described on this website if you wish.
What we do need to do is to recognize and trust the goodness of an organically grown potato, a whole grain of wheat, mother’s milk and such...and we need enough sense not to mess up a good thing. Another thing we need is to make NUTRITION a primary focus in a medical system rather than drugs. People can see a doctor with 50 or more nutritional deficiencies and imbalances related to just one thing...white flour foods...and they are never addressed by doctors trained in drug medicine. Drug companies don't mind but when health problems don't get solved at the causative level while a country goes broke paying medical bills...somebody should mind.
Just knowing there is a system that supports human wholeness is obviously not enough. Someone…or some institution…has to take responsibility for teaching us respect for the system. Without leadership in wholeness things could go to hell in 100 years or less. Where does that leave parents and babies? There are thieves and robbers around.
What institution was commissioned to represent a Good Shepherd to the sheep of the world? What else but the church? Churches...please help your flocks find a Pathway to Wholeness following a standard higher than a drug quick-fix for every ache and pain. Why not the standard expressed by Christ?
There is no mercy in fragments of grains or fragments of truth. The next time you talk to a priest, pastor, deacon, or elder in a church, be sure to ask 'what did Jesus teach about nutrition'?
I am one of His lambs. I need a Good Shepherd.
What did Jesus teach about wholeness?
There is far too much to list here besides what has been quoted so far, but here are a few clues.
We are to "love the Lord your God with your WHOLE mind, heart, soul, and strength". It would seem that this is easier to do if we are aware of the blessings of wholeness in creation around us, and in our food supply. It would also seem to be easier to do if the left side of our brains worked in sync with the right side...something that is reported to be quite rare.
The New Testament is full of references to the "fullness" of Christ and God...true for both the King James version and Catholic translations. "Fullness" is another word for wholeness. One example is "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead...and you are complete (made whole) in Him." (Col 2;9,10). For more such references see the manual titled MASTERY.
We are told to "Be merciful". Doing things that make ourselves or others sick would hardly seem like the merciful thing to do. On the other hand to "heal the sick" (make whole) as Jesus told His followers to do would be merciful.
While we are healing the sick why not heal the sickening too?
Many of us aren't aware of the sickening things going on. Some corporations are promoting genetically engineered “frankenfood” without safety tests, without restraint, and even without public awareness. Who is sounding the alarm? Thousands have recently reported a new disease called "morgellon's" with weird strange symptoms including "threads or black speck-like materials" oozing out of skin with "crawling, biting, and stinging sensations". A study by a professor at Stony Brook University in New York showed the fibers to be related to an "agrobacterium" capable of "genetically transforming human cells"...a clear link to genetically modified organisms (GMO) and GMO foods. When you shop for food you could be buying a tomato grown with the genes of a fish or a cockroach or you could be buying a fish grown with human growth hormone and you wouldn’t even know it. It’s not on the label. What's wrong with a fish that grows with the help of fish growth hormones?
High on the sickening list are processed and cooked to death foods all enzyme dead. Try finding a live enzyme in Wonder bread or in a box of cereal or in a drop of pasteurized, homogenized, and vitamin D fortified milk. If even a bug can't live on it how can anything else stay healthy on it? Millions of kids on legal drugs when their real problem is malnutrition, the list of things that need healing go on and on.
Jesus taught us lessons in wholeness but how can they help us if we don't use them? When it comes to human and planetary wholeness the question to ask is…
WHO IS WATCHING THE STORE?
If nobody is watching the store things could go to hell in a century or less. Farmers could be coerced not only into poisoning the land and growing foods without nutritional value and growing GMO crops, they could even be coerced into using “terminator seeds” that do not reproduce “30,50, or 100 times” as seeds are supposed to according to Jesus.
The next time you talk to a priest, pastor, deacon, or elder in a church, be sure to ask 'what did Jesus teach about wholeness'?
THE WORD OF CHRIST
Why the dis-connect between so much that needs healing and so few doing any healing? Why are so many babies on bottles when THE WORD clearly recognizes the wonder of mother's milk?
The anwer to these and many more questions may be found in the WORD OF CHRIST. As we have seen..."Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks". That explains so much. If we truly want to know Jesus, we need to listen to what He said. Here is another lesson.
“A tree is known by its fruits. Do men gather grapes from thistles, or figs from bramblebush?
That’s a simple lesson in consistency. Jesus could have said "Do men gather milk from an animal and feed it to their babies”? It’s the same thought, and this explains so very much about the world we live in.
Without wholeness taught from a higher level...a pulpit for example...how can you expect to find it at a lower level? Without wholeness taught from a higher level it's no surprise to find it missing at the birth level and all that comes later it life. It should be no surprise to find it missing at the ground level where food is grown and so much higher up. With wholeness missing at higher and lower levels the children of God are caught in the middle, missing out on the goodness and wholeness of life.
Let’s not blame God or Jesus for this. Let’s ask what we are hearing from those who stand between God and man who are telling us what they think God wants us to hear. Let’s compare that to what Jesus said and did and how He felt about things like seeds and mercy and nursing babies and the sick? It quickly becomes obvious where the real problem is.
The real problem is not at the mother milk level. The real problem is at the "spiritual milk of the word" level (words of Peter in his first letter referring to the words of Christ). When HIS WORD is in us we will find more wholeness in our lives, and so will those who come after us.
Does it matter what Jesus taught about breastfeeding, nutrition, and wholeness?
It matters to a baby on a bottle or any baby born of an unhealthy mother. It matters to a child in a dentist chair with a tooth that needs pulling but the novacaine won't work due to an abscess. It matters to someone with cancer. It matters to a high school athlete or Tim Russert having a "surprise" heart attack. It should matter to everyone concerned about the health of the planet.
Have we really been paying enough attention to the WORD OF CHRIST?
Obviously not. Those who don't know THE WORD and who don't have His words in their hearts don't know the heart of Jesus. How can they? And how can those who don't know the heart of Jesus teach it to others?
They can't of course, and that has been, and is, the real problem.
MASTERY
We can settle for hell or we can reach up for heaven. We can settle for more sick and more sickening or we can work on the healing side of life. We can settle for weakness and victimhood and suffering or we can strive for Mastery in our service to God, to one another, and to ourselves.
"It is enough that the servant be as the Master" said the Master.
Nutrition-for-Life can be a Pathway to wholeness consistent with the "heal thyself" standard of Christ. This opens the door to healing at all levels using things made by God, not by man.
We do have power to choose. We don't have to settle for helplessness and a drug based medical system that deals with symptoms while underlying causes remain unaddressed. We deserve the best, and so do our children and grandchildren. God made it, God said it, and that settles it.
The Body Balancing Kits described on other pages of this website can help you get started on a path that makes us healthy not just as children of planet earth but also as children of God.
It matters what we learn and teach about the WORD OF CHRIST. It matters what you do after you finish reading this page. We do not have the power to overcome on our own, but we must always remember that "With God all things are possible".
Spread THE WORD...and be of good cheer.
"Whatsoever things you have done (or done not) for these the least of My breathren, you have done (or done not) for Me".
Happy are those who can say along with a beloved disciple...
"And of His fullness (wholeness) have we all received,
and grace for grace" (John 1;16).
